Faces of J2: Meet Sabrina!

Name: Sabrina Bryant
Position: Communications Specialist

Q: Tell us how you got started doing what you do!

A: I got started with what I do because really the only thing I love more than talking is writing. I found that I was able to convey my thoughts and connect with people really well through both speech and writing, and realized I could use this gift to make a difference in the things important to me and my community. I decided to study Digital Communications and English, and became involved with the campus newspaper as a staff writer and eventually as Editor. I also had a few jobs/internships that allowed me to gain experience in marketing, public relations, video production, etc., and helped me realize my passion for media and communication.

Q: Where did you go to school?

A: I went to William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Go Statesmen! I’m also a Chandler High School graduate.

Q: What are you looking forward to most about your job?

A: What I’m looking forward to is having the opportunity to do what I enjoy each day in being creative. There is no typical day but no matter what I end up working on I am able to get the creative energies flowing and think outside the box.

Q: What are you doing when you’re not working?

A: When I’m not working you can usually find me hanging out with my dogs Buster and Oliver, watching The Office or out hiking somewhere!

Q: What’s your favorite film and why?

A: Gladiator. Ancient history, one of the best revenge stories ever and Russel Crowe. Are you not entertained?

Also, I’ll watch any Harry Potter film any day, especially if its Goblet of Fire.

Q: What are three random facts we don’t know about you?

A: I am very passionate about the conservation of earth, natural resources and wild places.

My dream vacation would be to travel the country in a decked out van and explore National Parks, MLB stadiums and all things Americana.

I was very involved with FFA (Future Farmers of America) in high school, I even thought I wanted to be an agriculture teacher for a while. I participated in an event called Parliamentary Procedure and my team placed National Runner-Up at the 2014 FFA National Convention.
